Spaulding Elementary School

Spaulding Elementary School serves approximately 100 students from prekindergarten through third grade.  Our school community encourages life-long learning by providing a challenging education while meeting our students' intellectual, social, and emotional needs. The teachers at Spaulding are highly qualified, dedicated professionals.  They work hard to ensure a positive, supportive, and nurturing environment.  We value our partnership with the families of our students creating a true family affair.

From the Principal

HAPPY NEW YEAR, SPAULDING SHARKS!

As we start the new year, I continue to be amazed at the Spaulding School Community and our continued resilience and perserverance during these difficult times.  I wish I could say I was sad to see 2020 go, but I am not!  I am happy for new beginnings and the opportunity to make 2021 a much better year.  The health of our students, families and staff comes first in MSD143.  We are working little by little to bring all of our students be back together and I can't wait until that day comes!  In these uncertain times, it is more important than ever that we stick together.  MSD 143 is committed to the education of ALL of our students.  Please remember that MSD 143 is also committed to serving the community.  Breakfast and lunch is provided to MSD 143 students via pick-up line at Central Park and Kolmar School.  You can pick-up your food from 7:30 to 9:30 am, on Mondays and Thursdays.  Multiple meals will be provided to cover breakfast and lunch on the non-serving days.  I hope that our families will take advantage of the support the district is ready to provide.

I cannot express the importance of self care and reminding our little ones to "Do the Five".

DO THE FIVE
Help stop corona virus
1 HANDS: Wash them often
2 ELBOW: Cough into it
3 FACE: Don't touch it
4 FEET: Stay more than 3 ft. apart
5 FEEL sick?... Stay home

I have been in education for a long time and I have never been forced to be apart from my students.  I miss each and every one of them.  We are stronger together and we WILL get through these tough days ahead.  Stay positive, be kind to one another and be well.

When we return, Spaulding is always looking for parents to work along side the staff by joining the Parent Group.  The Parent Group helps make important decisions for the school as well as plan many exciting events.  The Parent Group usually meets once a month, after school from 3:00 to 4:00 pm.  By joining the Parent Group, you will get to meet other Spaulding parents and families and truly help make a difference in your child's school.  Our next meeting will be determined as soon as we return to school.  Childcare will be provided.  If you have any questions, please call the office at 708-385-4546.

Please continue to check back to this page in order to receive important dates for our upcoming events.
